Survive the Threats in ORMOD: Directive
ORMOD: Directive is quickly becoming one of the more talked-about upcoming survival games, with House 16 Software announcing that the open-world survival title has now approached 325,000 wishlists on Steam ahead of its Gamescom 2026 showcase.
The upcoming event will mark the first time the public can get hands-on with a new build of the game. Visitors heading to Hall 10.1, Booth A033, will have the chance to play a Gamescom-exclusive version featuring content and gameplay systems that were not available during the game’s earlier public playtests.
House 16 Software confirmed that the new build includes expanded content, new gameplay features, and several improvements based on feedback from previous testing phases. The developer has continued to involve the community in the game’s development since its reveal nearly eight months ago, helping ORMOD: Directive steadily build momentum.
Attendees at Gamescom will also have an opportunity to meet members of the development team and pick up exclusive ORMOD: Directive merchandise while supplies last.
The game is currently planned for release on Steam during the first half of 2027. Players can also add it to their wishlist to keep track of development updates, new features, and future playtest announcements.
With nearly 325,000 wishlists already on Steam, ORMOD: Directive has clearly caught the attention of survival game fans, and its Gamescom appearance could give players an even better look at what is coming next.
