Enjoy 50% off on Minesweeper Collector 2
Minesweeper Collector 2 has officially celebrated its second anniversary on Steam, and developer Anton Kryukov marked the occasion with the release of Update 2.2.0. The latest update adds a long-requested quest system alongside two new story chapters, giving players even more reasons to return to the game. Additionally, the game is currently available at 50% off until 7th September, making it the perfect chance to grab a copy.
According to Kryukov, working on the new quests made him realize just how much the game had been missing the feature. The quests add another layer to the gameplay while making progression through the story feel more engaging. The update also includes a collection of smaller fixes and improvements based on player feedback.
The game combines classic Minesweeper with a full storyline and a variety of mechanics. Each level can influence the game world and push the story forward, while players can discover collections, craft items, fish, use runes, tackle hexagonal Minesweeper boards, and even create their own levels.
One of its biggest features is its custom minefield generator, which guarantees that every level can be solved through logic without requiring players to guess. The game also includes a fishing minigame, large minefields with up to 500 mines, customizable difficulty options, and a level editor supporting both classic Minesweeper and fishing levels.
New players can also rely on a detailed tutorial and helpful hints on easier difficulties to learn the game’s mechanics.
With its second anniversary update now available, the game continues to grow thanks to its community. It looks like there is still plenty more Minesweeper adventure ahead.
