Lead the Rebellion in Mexican Ninja
Amber Studio has announced that Mexican Ninja, its fast-paced 2.5D roguelike beat ’em up, will launch on August 20 for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. You can check out the official release date trailer below to get a glimpse of the action ahead.
Set in the chaotic world of Nuevo Tokyo, the game imagines a bizarre future. Here, Mexico’s Narcos and Japan’s Yakuza have united to form the ruthless Narkuza regime. With the city under their control, a growing resistance prepares to take on the five leaders of the clan. And players step into the role of the mysterious Mexican Ninja to lead the fight.
Combat focuses on quick movement, precise timing, and well-placed attacks. This results in fast-paced battles that are easy to pick up but offer plenty of depth for players. Each run features randomized levels, ensuring no two playthroughs unfold the same way.
As players progress, they’ll unlock new ninja abilities by training with El Mero Mero Sensei. They will also earn the blessing of Mexican-Japanese spirits and experiment with powerful Mexican Jutsus, unique weapon combinations, and different combat builds. The game also features hidden outfits that let players customize their appearance and inspire the rebellion in style.

Every parry, every jutsu, every run is about that feeling of getting knocked down and standing back up with more swagger than before. Mexican Ninja has always been a vibe, a spirit, a way of being and now players everywhere can find their inner donkey,”
With its colorful setting, stylish action, and roguelike progression, Mexican Ninja looks set to deliver an energetic and unconventional adventure when it arrives later this month.
