Cyber Rail Has Officially Released Its First Playable Demo on Steam

High-Speed Action Awaits in Cyber Rail

Cyber Rail has officially released its first playable demo on Steam, giving players an early taste of Torn Ace Studios’ fast-paced roguelike FPS. Set aboard a flying diesel-powered train, the game puts players in the boots of a robot cowboy tasked with taking down relentless bands of cybernetic outlaws in high-speed shootouts.

In Cyber Rail, movement plays a major role as standing still is rarely an option. Players will need to chain together grapples, slides, wall-runs, and sprints to survive intense battles across moving train caravans. Enemy attacks come from every direction, and dangerous drops keep the pressure high. This makes every movement decision crucial to staying alive.

Between runs, players can spend their earnings in an in-game shop to expand their arsenal. Each futuristic weapon features unique abilities that encourage different playstyles. A teleporting boomerang opens up creative movement options, the SMG deals bonus damage to marked enemies, and the handcannon can split its shots to hit multiple nearby targets. Combined with classic weapons like the revolver, every run offers new combat possibilities.

Customization extends beyond weapons through cybernetic upgrades that provide passive bonuses. Players can equip defensive shields and inflict damage-over-time effects with malware. Or, they can mix different perks to build a loadout that matches their preferred approach. Since every run offers different combinations, experimentation is a key part of the experience.

Torn Ace Studios has also designed Cyber Rail with speedrunners in mind, challenging players to clear stages as quickly as possible and climb the global leaderboards.

With its blend of lightning-fast movement, creative weapon mechanics, and roguelike replayability, Cyber Rail’s demo offers an exciting first look at what could become a standout indie FPS when it launches.
