Explore a Magical Land in Crescent County
Crescent County is shaping up to be one of those cosy games with plenty of personality. Kinetic Publishing and Electric Saint have announced that the slice-of-life adventure will launch on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2 in Summer 2027.
Set on the magical, crescent-shaped Isle of Mor, the game follows Lu, a chaotic young adult trying to find her place in a new community. Players will hop onto their trusty motorbroom to deliver parcels during the day and hit the streets for some late-night racing.
However, racing is only one part of the experience. Lu will also take part in local gossip, build relationships, date friends, herd sheep, repair magical leyline systems, and generally navigate the messy realities of being in your 20s. Rather than focusing on competitive leaderboards, the motorbroom serves as a fun way to explore Mor and spend time with friends.
Crescent County draws inspiration from coming-of-age games such as Night in the Woods and Life is Strange, while also mixing in influences from Sable, Dredge, and OlliOlli World. The developers describe the experience as Kiki’s Delivery Service meets Akira, wrapped up in a rural witch-tech setting.
The project has been in development since 2017 and gained significant community support through a Kickstarter campaign that raised £94,458 in 2025. Creative director Anna Hollinrake has also drawn from her own experience of moving to the Isle of Wight.
With its colourful world and unusual mix of cosy living, romance, magic, and racing, Crescent County certainly looks like an adventure worth keeping an eye on.
