Begin Your Espionage in Agent 64: Spies Never Die
Agent 64: Spies Never Die, the retro-inspired first-person shooter from solo developer Replicant D6, is officially out today on PC via Steam. The game takes players back to the golden age of N64-era shooters, mixing classic spy-movie action with modern multiplayer features.
Players step into the polished shoes of secret agent John Walter, who must stop his sinister arch-rival, Dominic Pulp. The 14-mission campaign can be played solo or with up to four players through local and online co-op. Missions offer plenty of freedom, letting players rescue hostages, steal secret plans, use disguises, and tackle objectives in whatever order they choose.
The action also gets progressively tougher. Higher difficulty levels add new objectives and areas to explore, while the arsenal ranges from World War-era machine guns to futuristic Plasma Rifles. Players can also switch between fast hip-fire combat and precise aiming when taking down enemies from a distance.
For those looking for some classic multiplayer chaos, Agent 64 features four-player local split-screen and eight-player online deathmatches, with additional bots available. Modes include Zone, where players fight for territory, and Briefcase, which challenges them to hold onto classified documents. Custom online lobbies also feature more than 70 cheats and modifiers. This includes Big Heads, randomized weapons, slow bullets, and melee disarms.
Agent 64: Spies Never Die is available today with English, French, and Japanese language support. The base game costs $21.64, while a $29.64 Supporter’s Edition with the soundtrack and golden pistol skin is coming soon.
For fans of old-school shooters, Agent 64 looks like a fun blast from the past with plenty of modern multiplayer mayhem.
