Surf Holiday Event Also Awaits in The King of Fighters AFK
Netmarble has rolled out a new update for The King of Fighters AFK, introducing Angel as the latest Legendary fighter alongside several limited-time events and expanded gameplay content.
Created by the secret organization NESTS, Angel joins the roster with the new [Deathblow] synergy. While her relaxed fighting style may seem deceptive, she becomes a formidable close-range combatant thanks to her devastating “Unchain” combo attacks. Players can also use two of her signature moves, Blue Monday Counter EX and Finish Neck Cutter, during battles.
To celebrate her arrival, Netmarble has launched the Angel Arrival Event and the [Deathblow] Synergy Pick-Up Event, both running until August 5. These events give players a chance to recruit Angel and other fighters that benefit from the [Deathblow] synergy.
The update also introduces the Surf Holiday event from July 30 to August 12, bringing the Legendary pets Blanco and Hulark into the game. Meanwhile, the Lucky Elpy event will be available from July 27 to July 31, offering players an opportunity to obtain the Legendary Supporter Shroom.
In addition to the new fighter and events, the update expands several progression systems. The main campaign now extends to Stage 57,600, while multiple Power-Up Dungeons have received higher level caps. The Arcade Challenge has also been expanded through Region 8, and progression features including Influence, Supporter Center, and Pet Hotel now offer increased maximum levels.
Based on SNK’s iconic fighting game franchise, The King of Fighters AFK lets players build teams of up to 25 pixel-art fighters and create unique formations for strategic battles.
With a new fan-favorite fighter, fresh events, and plenty of progression updates, this latest patch gives both new and returning players even more reasons to jump back into the action.
