Grab Rising Storm 2: Vietnam at 90% Off
Tripwire Interactive has released a surprise quality-of-life update for Rising Storm 2: Vietnam, giving longtime players another reason to jump back into the tactical shooter. Alongside the new patch, the developer has also launched a massive Steam discount, making it the perfect time for newcomers to experience the game.

The free Patch 1.7.0 focuses on improving the overall multiplayer experience by addressing several long-standing issues. The update introduces multiple fixes for VOIP server connectivity, resolves bugs that occasionally prevented players from muting microphones, and adds a new option to select an audio input device directly from the in-game settings menu. Tripwire has also closed an exploit that allowed players to gain unlimited ammunition, helping maintain fair and balanced matches. The full patch notes include additional bug fixes and improvements.
To celebrate the update, Rising Storm 2: Vietnam is available on Steam at 90% off until July 26. Both the Standard and Digital Deluxe editions are heavily discounted, while all downloadable content is also on sale at reduced prices. Tripwire has confirmed that similar discounts will appear during upcoming seasonal sales.
Originally released in 2017, Rising Storm 2: Vietnam remains one of the standout tactical first-person shooters set during the Vietnam War. The game features intense 64-player battles, over 20 maps, more than 50 authentic weapons, and three multiplayer modes. Its asymmetrical gameplay pits the US and ARVN forces against the North Vietnamese Army and Viet Cong, each side relying on unique tactics and equipment to secure victory.
It’s great to see Tripwire continuing to support a nearly decade-old shooter, proving that even veteran multiplayer games can benefit from meaningful updates and attract a fresh wave of players.
