Welcome to Petunia’s Purgatory
Dead Possum Games, in partnership with Level Up Gaming, has officially released Petunia’s Purgatory for PC via Steam. Blending idle farming mechanics with psychological horror, the game sits at the bottom of your desktop while you work, quietly demanding your attention until it completely takes over.

In Petunia’s Purgatory, players grow bizarre crops, perform unsettling blood rituals, and expand a cursed farm under the watchful eye of an ancient Elder God hidden inside a mysterious barn. The goal is to keep the deity fed while preventing Petunia from losing her sanity. If her mental state deteriorates too far, the horror escapes the game window and begins corrupting your desktop with disturbing visual effects.
The game offers around 50 to 60 hours of content across five unique scenarios. Players can unlock more than 20 strange crops, rare variants, decorations, buildings, and specialized helpers that automate farming tasks. Twisted animals can be sacrificed to collect blood, an essential resource for progression, while flowers help preserve Petunia’s fragile state of mind.
Additional features include Twitch integration, allowing viewers to temporarily assist your farm, detailed gameplay statistics, and customizable settings designed for both casual players and those planning to spend hours managing their haunted fields.
To celebrate the launch, Petunia’s Purgatory is available for $5.59, reflecting a 20% discount from its regular $6.99 price for the first 14 days. Players can also purchase an optional $3.99 Supporter Pack, which includes an exclusive gold Elder God statue as a decorative item with no gameplay benefits.
If you’re looking for an idle game with an unusual horror twist, Petunia’s Purgatory might be the perfect excuse to let your productivity disappear for a while.
