Ignite the Depths Revealed, Bringing Raid-Inspired Co-Op Dungeon Crawling to PC

Descend Into the Darkness in Ignite the Depths

Seattle-based indie developer SK Studios has officially announced Ignite the Depths, a new atmospheric dark-fantasy dungeon crawler that puts teamwork at the center of the experience. Developed by a three-person team, the game lets players descend through three handcrafted dimensions filled with dangerous enemies, environmental puzzles, and raid-inspired boss fights. It can be played solo or with up to four players in co-op.

Cooperation plays a major role in Ignite the Depths. Players need to combine class abilities and coordinate their strategies to survive the Abyss. Along the way, players can destroy barrels, uncover hidden treasure, and collect resources to spend at Pickle and Po’s shop. These materials allow players to craft stronger builds and customize their chosen class before tougher encounters.

The game features four unique classes, each offering a different playstyle. Players can unleash powerful magic attacks, protect teammates with well-timed parries, or experiment with other combat roles.

Visually, Ignite the Depths embraces a dreamy retro-inspired art style that blends classic aesthetics with modern rendering techniques. Each of the three dimensions concludes with a unique boss battle featuring custom mechanics, environmental challenges, and large-scale encounters that demand both teamwork and individual skill.

“We wanted to recreate the feeling of tackling MMO-style dungeons with a close group of friends without the long grind that usually entails. We hope players will still get the satisfaction of crafting and upgrading their class in preparation for these set pieces,” said Marcus Klammt, developer at SK Studios.

Ignite the Depths launches in Q3 2026, with playtests planned ahead of release. If you enjoy challenging co-op adventures, this is one to keep an eye on.
