Hold the Line in Company of Heroes 3: Final Stand
Relic Entertainment has officially launched Company of Heroes 3: Final Stand on Steam, introducing a brand-new standalone experience that puts a fresh spin on the franchise’s signature real-time strategy gameplay.
Unlike the main game, Final Stand focuses on intense wave-based survival, challenging players to defend their position against increasingly dangerous enemy assaults. The standalone title is available for $29.99, with a 10% launch discount for the first two weeks. Existing Company of Heroes 3 owners can also grab it at an additional 20% bundle discount.
Built around roguelite mechanics, Final Stand encourages players to experiment with different strategies during every run. Players must survive 12 escalating waves of enemy attacks, including powerful bosses and dynamic battlefield events that keep every match unpredictable. Between rounds, they can create custom battlegroups by selecting randomized units and abilities, ensuring no two playthroughs feel the same.
The game supports both solo and cooperative play, allowing players to take on the challenge alone or team up with friends. Four playable factions are available at launch: US Forces, Wehrmacht, British Forces, and Deutsches Afrikakorps. Each features unique upgrades, progression paths, and tactical options.
Outside of individual matches, players can unlock permanent faction-specific upgrades that reward continued play and open the door to tougher challenges.
The release also arrives as part of Company of Heroes’ 20th anniversary celebration. Alongside Final Stand, Relic Entertainment recently revealed Company of Heroes: Definitive Edition and confirmed that more franchise updates and community-focused initiatives are planned throughout the anniversary year.
