Go North Will Launch on 28 July on PC and Xbox Series X/S
A calming new adventure is inviting players to slow down and get lost in its world. Go North, an atmospheric maze exploration game from solo Nigerian developer gazuntype, has released a playable demo on PC via Steam just ahead of Steam Next Fest.
The demo offers an early look at the game’s tranquil yet mysterious design, recently highlighted during the Black Voices in Gaming Showcase. Players step into the role of Dara, an explorer navigating a series of intricate forest mazes shaped by a divine force known as the Maze God. Every path leads with a simple rule in mind: the exit is always to the north. The journey, however, is far from straightforward.
There are now four new mazes with hidden puzzles, side quests, and unexpected discoveries. As players move deeper into the wilderness, they will uncover ancient relics that blend magic with forgotten technology. All of which play a key role in guiding Dara forward.
The demo also introduces a new Camera mechanic, allowing players to document their journey while offering a glimpse into the broader world through a newly added cinematic opening. Beyond the forests, the full game promises even more variety, including eerie hallways and floating islands full of secrets.
Go North is launching on PC and Xbox Series X|S on July 28. It is a quiet, thoughtful experience that stands out by encouraging players to take their time and simply explore. You can wishlist the game right now on both platforms.
