Sill Cats Launches for Free on Steam, Turns Your Desktop Into a Playful Cat Playground

Meet Your Pawsome Pets in Sill Cats

SQOOL has officially launched its in-house desktop pet app Sill Cats on Steam, bringing a playful and relaxing experience to PC users. The free-to-play title went live on May 12, 2026, offering a charming way to liven up everyday desktop use.

Sill Cats introduces a collection of tiny cats that live directly on your screen, turning your workspace into their playground. These cats stroll along the edges of open windows, leap between applications, and occasionally curl up in quiet corners for a nap. Their behavior closely mirrors real-life feline habits, with subtle interactions like responding to mouse movements, reacting to clicks, and even approaching the cursor out of curiosity. Late-night users may also catch them bursting into sudden, energetic sprints between 1:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m., mimicking the classic “zoomies”.

The app is designed with flexibility in mind, supporting multi-monitor setups so the cats can roam freely across multiple displays. This adds an extra layer of immersion, especially for users with expansive workspaces.

In terms of content, the base version is completely free and includes two breeds: Abyssinian and Tuxedo. Additional breeds are available through optional “Breed Pack” DLCs, each priced at $1.99, with a limited-time 10% discount running until May 19. The app also supports five languages, making it accessible to a global audience.

Overall, Sill Cats delivers a lighthearted and interactive desktop companion experience, blending simplicity with a surprising level of personality.
