The Elf Is Joining KARATE ROGUE
Teruido Games has announced that its upcoming roguelike martial arts title KARATE ROGUE will appear in the Official Selection at BitSummit Punch!, scheduled for May 22 to May 24, 2026, in Kyoto, Japan. The studio will showcase new content at the event, giving attendees a chance to experience the game in a fresh way.
At BitSummit, players will get their first hands-on experience with a brand-new character, the Elf. This technical fighter combines magic with a distinct combat style called Elven Jiu-Jitsu. The current public demo does not include her, so this marks her first playable appearance. Unlike the balanced Fighter and the fast, combo-driven Tracksuit, the Elf focuses on control-based combat. She uses debuffs, counters, and throws to weaken enemies and turn their attacks against them. Although she has lower raw attack and defense, she rewards players who plan carefully and execute strategies with precision.
Developer Eito Terui, a novelist and scenario writer, leads the project under Teruido Games. The game combines roguelike progression with martial arts-inspired combat, where players battle monsters, collect techniques, and create unique builds during each dungeon run.
The title is scheduled to launch on Steam in 2026 with support for both Japanese and English. Its earlier demo gained a Very Positive reception during Steam Next Fest in February.
With its expanding roster and evolving combat system, KARATE ROGUE continues to build momentum ahead of release, offering players a deeper and more strategic martial arts experience.
