Get Ready to Enter the Parking Garage
Indie developer Marukereba Studio has revealed its upcoming horror experience, The Parking Garage, and launched its Steam store page ahead of a planned Spring 2026 release.
The Parking Garage presents a first-person anomaly-spotting walking simulator that takes a different approach to horror by removing jump scares entirely. Instead, it builds tension through quiet, unsettling moments and sharp observation, creating an experience that feels eerie without sudden shocks.
Players start on the eighth floor of a dimly lit multi-story parking structure and examine each level carefully to determine whether an anomaly exists. The rules stay simple but demanding. If players detect an anomaly, they move down a floor. If everything appears normal, they move up. Players must make seven correct decisions in a row to reach the first floor and unlock the exit. One wrong decision resets progress and sends them back to the beginning.

The game includes 40 different anomalies that subtly distort the environment. When players correctly identify one, the game removes it from rotation until they discover the rest, pushing them to improve their observation skills with each run. Some anomalies stand out immediately, while others hide in plain sight and require careful attention.
Each playthrough lasts between 15 minutes and two hours, making the experience easy to pick up while still offering a challenge for those who want to find every anomaly.
The developer designed the game for players who feel curious about horror but prefer a less intense experience, focusing on strange, almost invisible changes that slowly turn a familiar space into something deeply unsettling.
