Publisher Meridiem Games has officially announced two physical editions of Super Meat Boy 3D, set to launch on June 30, 2026, for the Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5. The digital version came out earlier on March 31 and is available on PC, Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and Switch 2.

Developed by Sluggerfly in collaboration with Team Meat and published digitally by Headup, this new entry reimagines the beloved hardcore platformer in full 3D while preserving its signature difficulty.

Meridiem is handling the design and production of both physical editions. The Standard Edition will include a sticker set and a reversible cover, while the Special Edition expands the package with a collectible sleeve, lenticular postcard, cloth patch, and a dedicated artbook.

In the game, players once again control Meat Boy, an animated cube of meat, on a relentless mission to rescue his bandage-made girlfriend from a bizarre villain. This time, the action unfolds in a fully 3D world packed with hazards. Expect tight, fast-paced platforming as players jump across deadly saw blades, collapsing environments, and hazardous terrain.

Staying true to its roots, Super Meat Boy 3D delivers a steep difficulty curve inspired by classic retro platformers. Levels grow increasingly punishing, pushing reflexes to the limit while introducing varied environments, from burning forests to industrial death traps. Boss fights and hidden secrets further expand the experience.

In short, the game delivers a brutal yet rewarding platforming challenge, now with a fresh 3D twist for modern consoles.
