Away From Life Crash Lands on Steam Early Access

Find Your Way Back Home in Away From Life

Solo indie developer Cursor Games has officially launched Away From Life into Steam Early Access, bringing its first-person open-world survival experience to players at a starting price of $12.99, with a limited-time 25 percent launch discount.

In Away From Life, players find themselves stranded after a helicopter crash across a remote and dangerous archipelago. With no hope of immediate rescue, survival becomes the only focus. Players must gather resources, hunt for food, craft essential tools, and build shelters while adapting to an unforgiving environment. Exploration plays a major role, with secrets scattered across dense jungles, harsh coastlines, and even beneath the surrounding ocean.

The Early Access version introduces a solid foundation, featuring large-scale island exploration, detailed crafting systems that include tools, vehicles, and base building, and multiplayer co-op for up to eight players. The world itself feels alive, filled with dangerous wildlife and natural threats that constantly challenge survival. Beyond staying alive, players are encouraged to uncover hidden mysteries and learn how to truly master their surroundings.

Cursor Games plans to expand the experience throughout Early Access, with updates shaped by community feedback. New features such as boats, rafts, and motorised watercraft are already being introduced to improve exploration and survival mechanics. Whether playing alone or with others, the game focuses on raw survival, relying entirely on player instinct and creativity.

Away From Life begins its journey with a promising foundation, and its future will depend on how players help shape its evolving world.
