HyperVR Games has officially launched its offbeat supermarket simulator Shop & Stuff on PlayStation VR2, bringing a chaotic twist to store management in virtual reality.
Unlike traditional simulation games, Shop & Stuff throws players into an unpredictable retail environment where running a supermarket is anything but routine. Starting with a modest roadside shop, players gradually expand their business by restocking shelves, handling customers, and keeping the store in order. However, things rarely go smoothly. Spills, accidents, and strange customer behavior can quickly turn a normal day into complete chaos if not managed properly.
The game leans heavily into its comedic side. Customers may create messes, steal items, or cause disruptions, forcing players to respond in unconventional ways. From maintaining cleanliness to dealing with troublemakers, every moment requires quick thinking and a bit of humor. Beyond the chaos, there is a deeper management layer. Players can invest their earnings to grow their store, unlock new equipment such as self-checkout systems, and improve overall efficiency. The launch also includes the “Store Comes Alive” update, which introduces over 1,000 voice lines for NPCs. Customers now react dynamically to player actions and in-game events, adding more personality to each interaction. Additionally, a new character known as “The Boss” acts as a guide, helping players learn the basics while pushing them to improve performance and maximize profits.
