Magin: The Rat Project Stories is officially launching on April 29, 2026, with pre-orders now live for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Developed by The Rat Project and published by Daedalic Entertainment, the dark fantasy deck-builder will also open Nintendo Switch pre-orders on April 1. This will give players across all major platforms a chance to jump in early.
Magin: The Rat Project Stories is a story-rich experience where choices shape the journey. Players guide multiple protagonists through a mysterious world influenced by emotion and magic. Along the way, they will uncover a layered narrative tied to a powerful force known as “Essence.” Along the way, players build and refine their decks, using evolving strategies to progress through branching story paths filled with atmospheric environments and unusual characters.
To celebrate the pre-order launch, the game is currently available with a 10% discount. Players can choose between the Standard Edition and the Deluxe “Essence Edition.” The latter bundles the full game with a range of digital extras, including a comic book, original soundtrack, digital artbook, enhanced card visual effects, and additional story content exploring the origins of Essence. It also features a special supporter-themed main menu as a token of appreciation from the developers.
