Join the Action in Rainbow Six Mobile
Ubisoft has announced that Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Mobile is now available worldwide on iOS and Android. The free-to-play tactical shooter brings the core experience of the Rainbow Six franchise to mobile devices, delivering intense 5v5 PvP combat built around strategy and teamwork.
Developed by Ubisoft Montreal with support from several co-development studios, the game recreates the signature Attack vs. Defense mode made famous by Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege. Attackers deploy drones to gather intel and breach destructible walls, floors, and ceilings, while defenders fortify entry points, set traps, and monitor spy cameras to secure objectives. The mobile version preserves the tension, tactical depth, and high-stakes decision-making of Siege, while optimizing controls and systems for play on the go.
Game Director Olivier Albarracin said the team aimed to deliver the full intensity and strategy of Rainbow Six in a mobile-first format. He emphasized the depth of gameplay and the attention to detail that longtime fans will recognize, alongside new ways to experience Siege on mobile devices.
At launch, players can access multiple modes, including Bomb, Bomb Rush, and Team Deathmatch. The roster features more than 20 Operators, such as Ash, Mute, and Dokkaebi. Iconic maps like Bank, Border, Clubhouse, Oregon, and Villa return, joined by Restaurant and Summit, which are exclusive to mobile. The game also includes tutorials, Private Matches, Ranked play, and Quick Play, with new seasonal content planned.
The global launch coincides with Operation Sand Wraith, the first season, introducing a desert-themed setting and a new Operator, Deimos, who uses his DeathMARK Tracker ability to isolate and eliminate a single target in a tense duel.
