Try the Order of Kings Demo on Steam
DW Studio, the team behind Order of Kings, has announced that its upcoming RTS–4X hybrid will take part in the Steam PvP Fest. To mark the occasion, the Steam Demo Test is now live. Players can dive into the game’s ambitious blend of real-time strategy controls and large-scale 4X design now.
Order of Kings aims to merge the immediacy of classic RTS gameplay with the long-term planning and empire management of grand strategy titles. Set within a dynamic sandbox, the demo allows players to shape the opening moments of a sweeping war saga. Every decision, both strategic and tactical, can alter the course of battle. DW Studio invites players to participate in the test and experience how real-time command and high-level planning collide on the battlefield.

Order of Kings is a real-time sandbox strategy game built around fully realized 3D terrain and flexible commander compositions. Battles unfold across topographic maps, where elevation, line of sight, and ambush opportunities play a decisive role. Rather than relying on automated encounters, players must issue precise commands in real time. They must balance split-second reactions with overarching strategic goals.
The game also introduces a unique Strategist system, allowing players to customize hero combinations to suit different playstyles. Siege warfare features prominently, with scaling ladders, hidden routes, and defensive positions recreating the tension of ancient assaults. Realistic unit collision adds further depth, enabling body-blocking and clever positioning to overcome numerical disadvantages. Rounding out the experience is a streamlined progression system with no VIP perks and no artificial build timers, keeping the focus squarely on skill and strategy.
With the demo now available and Steam PvP Fest live, Order of Kings is positioning itself as a fresh contender in the strategy space.
