The Return of THEQUICKSHOT II
Retro Games Ltd., in collaboration with PLAION REPLAI, has officially launched THEQUICKSHOT II, reviving one of the most iconic joysticks from the home-computer era. Available now, the new release faithfully recreates the classic controller while updating it for modern retro gaming with improved precision, durability, and responsiveness.

First released in the early 1980s, the original QuickShot II became a fixture in home-computer setups around the world. THEQUICKSHOT II preserves that familiar experience, delivering the same distinctive look and tactile feel longtime players remember, while overcoming the reliability issues associated with vintage hardware.
Built for play rather than display, THEQUICKSHOT II uses an all-microswitch internal design to provide crisp, immediate inputs. Each direction and fire button delivers a clear click point, ensuring accurate eight-way control with no dead zones or imprecise movement, even during fast, demanding arcade gameplay.
The joystick features eight action and function buttons, offering full gamepad-style flexibility. A rapid auto-fire switch returns as a defining feature of the original, now redesigned to meet modern performance standards. Stabilising suction cups support confident one-handed play, while refined ergonomics and a generous 1.8-metre cable make the joystick well-suited to contemporary gaming spaces.
Retro Games Ltd. has carefully preserved the QuickShot II’s instantly recognisable silhouette, grip, and stance rather than reimagining its design. Known for its accurate hardware recreations, the studio developed THEQUICKSHOT II to pair naturally with modern retro systems such as THEC64, THEA500, and The Spectrum.
Compatible with most popular games and computer systems, THEQUICKSHOT II is available now with an RRP of £29.99 on Retro Games’ official website. The product is a registered trademark of Subvert Ltd, used under license.
