Things Got Bigger in Island Market Simulator
Island Market Simulator moves another step closer to release with Devlog #3, a substantial update focused on improving flow, clarity, and long-term progression. This latest build introduces wide-ranging quality of life upgrades, expanded systems, and new content that significantly deepens the overall experience. Alongside these improvements, the development team has confirmed that Island Market Simulator is targeting an Early Access launch on Steam in late Q1 2026.
One of the most noticeable changes comes through a major expansion of the core systems. The update adds more than 50 new sellable items to the in-game economy and introduces new plantable seeds that extend farming progression. Additional shelves and cash registers will allow players to customize their stores more freely, while full save system integration ensures stability and persistent progress across all features.
The tutorial and interface have also been completely reworked. New step-by-step guidance introduces mechanics more clearly, supported by on-screen tips for planting, harvesting, and trading. Visual indicators now make it easier to understand which actions are available at any moment, reducing confusion for new and returning players alike.
Developers have refined crate management and item information by adding dedicated containers for milk and empty items, clearer seed tooltips that show growth time and results, and an improved item HUD that displays durability and type. The economy has received a notable overhaul as well, with an auto-pricing system, three distinct NPC wealth tiers, and a helpful skeleton companion that appears when funds run out.
Additional updates improve movement, placement animations, navigation markers, and calendar clarity, creating a smoother and more immersive island marketplace as Early Access approaches.
