Publisher PM Studios and developer Playtonic Games have released the Yooka-Replaylee demo on Nintendo Switch 2, giving players a smooth chance to glide, roll, and tongue-whip through the adventure. Progress made in the demo carries over to the full game, making it a useful way to begin exploring. Alongside the demo, the studio has started the final ten-day countdown to the physical Retail Edition. This version includes the full game, a collectible map poster, and a character sticker pack. The official release will be on December 18, 2025, and the pre-orders are currently open.

To mark the game’s strong reception and the upcoming retail launch, Playtonic Games and PM Studios have also released a new Accolade Trailer. It highlights the praise the title has gathered from media outlets around the world.

“From the very start, we wanted Yooka-Replaylee to feel special – not just as a game, but as a keepsake,” shares Michael Yum, CEO, PM Studios. “The demo gives players a taste of what’s possible. The physical edition is the full celebration and perfectly timed to be played, collected, and shared during the holidays; a must-have gift for families and fans alike. It’s been a joy helping bring this world to life with Playtonic.”

Yooka-Replaylee is a rebuilt and enhanced version of the beloved 3D platforming collectathon Yooka-Laylee, created by key developers known for their work on Banjo-Kazooie and Donkey Kong Country. The new release brings updated challenges, refreshed favorites, and expanded open areas to explore with the duo Yooka and Laylee. The game also introduces a larger map, a new currency system, and different customization options, with an orchestral soundtrack. The result is a polished experience that presents the buddy pair with improved movement, visuals, and audio.
