Spirit Crossing Will Arrive on Steam Next Year

A Cozy MMO Experience Awaits in Spirit Crossing

Spry Fox, known for creating Triple Town, Alphabear, and Cozy Grove, shared during the Wholesome Snack event that its cozy MMO Spirit Crossing is coming to PC on Steam next year. The project was first revealed in early 2025 as a mobile collaboration with Netflix, and it now has a fresh trailer. The announcement arrives soon after news that Spry Fox will separate from Netflix and return to being an independent studio. Spry Fox will handle the PC release on its own, while Netflix will continue publishing the mobile version for its members.

Spirit Crossing presents a gentle online world built around shared moments, creativity, and meaningful connections. Players enter a vibrant landscape that shifts over time, creating a space for relaxed exploration. The experience allows for quiet activities such as harvesting, joining fishing tournaments, or watching a calm sunrise with friends or alone.

Everyone begins their journey in a Waystation, which is a unique community that grows through collective efforts, decorations, and acts of kindness. Players can travel to other Waystations and take part in cooperative activities such as gathering resources, dancing, or painting murals. Those who prefer a slower pace can simply explore the world and enjoy its atmosphere.

The game highlights social interaction through a friendship progression system that gradually unlocks features, including proximity chat, two-player emotes, instant teleportation, and gift giving. It also supports personal expression through a housing system that lets players design their own spaces along with detailed avatar customization options.

During exploration, players will meet small square bears, mysterious villagers, and wandering spirits who seek comfort and safety. Through patience and kindness, these characters begin to open up, share their stories, and offer thoughtful gifts, creating a warm and inviting journey across a peaceful world.
