Start Your Engine in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds

Sega has launched the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, giving players a new way to experience the fast-paced racer. The upgraded version is now available digitally for $69.99 or the regional equivalent, with a physical edition planned for early 2026. This release aims to make better use of the improved power of the Switch 2 hardware, offering enhanced performance and a sharper presentation that brings each track and character to life with greater clarity.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds

Players who already own the original Nintendo Switch version can choose the Switch 2 Edition Upgrade Pack. The normal price is $10; however, Sega is offering a limited introductory discount that brings the cost down to $5 for anyone who buys it before 11 December 2025. This option allows returning players to enjoy the improved edition without purchasing the full game again.

Sega is also providing a small bonus for early adopters. The Werehog DLC Pack, which adds a themed character option inspired by Sonic’s transformation, is available at no cost during the first two weeks of the digital release. Players can download it for free until 17 December 2025, adding a little extra variety to their racing lineup.

All progress and previously purchased content from the original Switch version can be transferred to the new edition. This lets long-time players continue right where they left off, while still benefiting from the visual and performance upgrades offered by the Switch 2 hardware. With smoother gameplay and enhanced resolution, the new edition creates a more polished experience for anyone looking to return to the tracks or jump into the world of CrossWorlds for the first time.
