Highway Noir Drives Its Way to Steam in Early 2026

Take On Dangerous Contracts in Highway Noir

UK-based indie developer Archangel Software has announced its second project, Highway Noir, set to launch in early 2026 for PC via Steam. The game blends the thrill of high-speed driving with a striking neo-noir atmosphere. It promises to deliver an amazing story steeped in betrayal, revenge, and moral tension.

Players step into the role of a former top driver for the Major Crimes Agency, now reduced to a freelance wheelman for the city’s criminal underworld. After being framed for a failed mission, you now take on dangerous contracts, racing through rain-soaked streets, and evading the law. While making deliveries that blur the line between survival and crime. As each mission pulls you further into chaos and corruption, a mysterious figure known only as Merlin promises a chance to strike back at those who betrayed you.

Set in a neon-lit world, Highway Noir offers a mix of intense chases and cinematic storytelling. Players can navigate a world where color itself marks danger or opportunity, upgrade vehicles between missions, and choose whether to chase revenge or focus on fast-play modes such as Infinite Run, Pursuit, and Escape. The experience is amplified by an original soundtrack from a lineup of independent composers. It also has accessibility features like tone tags, subtitles, vision assist, and adjustable game speed.

Reflecting on the project, developer Mike Parry said, “I want to drop the player into an action movie car chase. But how to get them there? My answer is to drop them into a revenge thriller at the same time.”

Highway Noir promises to deliver a gripping fusion of story and speed, where every contract, every chase, and every decision pushes players closer to the truth.
