Dota 2 and Monster Hunter Join Hands in an Epic Crossover Event

Join the Hunt in Dota 2

The world of Dota 2 is about to collide with the realm of Monster Hunter in one of the game’s biggest crossovers yet. That’s right, Valve Corporation and CAPCOM just made the announcement, inviting players to embark on a grand hunt filled with monsters, crafting, and new hero transformations. This collaboration introduces themed hero sets, new pets, and an in-game hunt system inspired by Monster Hunter’s iconic gameplay. And for those who ever imagined Dragon Knight turning into a Rathalos, Capcom made that dream a reality.

Six Monster Hunter-themed item sets arrive with the event, each modeled after classic armor from the series and available in three alternate craftable forms. Players can also claim a Palico courier with customizable outfits and a loyal Poogie pet. The base version of every hero set is free to all players and can be crafted using materials gathered through hero hunts. The Hero Atlas acts as a journal for your progress, revealing lore and dispatches written by Axe’s trusty scribe, Goodkind.

For players seeking a deeper experience, the Expedition Pack expands the adventure. It includes usable monsters such as Rathalos for Dragon Knight and Bullfango for Beastmaster. There is also a Monster Hunter-themed music pack, seasonal sprays, and extra crafting materials. Expedition Pack owners also gain access to exclusive variants of Poogie, Palico, and hero sets enhanced with custom visual effects.

The crossover event runs for the next three months, giving players plenty of time to hunt down enemies. All while crafting powerful gears and uncovering new stories. Step into the arena, gather your materials, and prepare for a hunt like no other.
