Take a Look at The Legend of Baboo
During the Best Indie Games Showcase 2025, publisher Midwest Games and developer Permanent Way Entertainment unveiled an extended look at their upcoming action-adventure title, The Legend of Baboo. The new trailer highlights the dangers awaiting young hero Sepehr and his loyal fluffy companion Baboo as they embark on a desperate mission to protect their family and homeland from an ancient evil.
Drawing inspiration from timeless fables, the game tells a heartfelt story of courage, friendship, and survival. Players step into the role of Sepehr, a boy armed with a magical staff, and team up with Baboo, a lovable dog whose claws and thunderous bark serve as powerful weapons against demonic invaders. Together, they confront nightmarish foes and towering bosses while traveling through enchanted forests, roaring rivers, cursed wilderness, and frozen lands. Along the way, players will solve puzzles, overcome treacherous challenges, and uncover the strength of the bond between boy and dog.
Progression lies at the heart of the journey. Players can upgrade Sepehr and Baboo through an RPG-style skill tree, enhancing their offensive and defensive abilities while unlocking new powers. Boss battles reward them with devastating magical attacks that consume mana but can wipe out large groups of enemies, encouraging experimentation with different builds and playstyles. Players can also customize Baboo by outfitting him with a variety of costumes and ornaments collected throughout the adventure.
With multiple difficulty modes available, The Legend of Baboo invites players to shape their own experience, whether they seek a relaxed journey or a challenging trial. The game will launch soon on Windows PC via Steam and on Xbox One and Series S|X.
