Sharpen Your Blade for Nioh 3
KOEI TECMO America and Team NINJA have officially revealed the release date of Nioh 3. The highly anticipated sequel will arrive on February 6, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam. Pre-orders are also already live across both platforms. To mark the announcement, the team released a new cinematic story trailer directed by Shinji Higuchi. It offers fans a glimpse into the game’s dramatic narrative.
Set during Japan’s chaotic Sengoku era, Nioh 3 places players in the role of Tokugawa Takechiyo, the heir destined to become the next Shogun. However, peace is short-lived as his younger brother, Tokugawa Kunimatsu, consumed by jealousy and resentment, rises against him. Backed by a dark and sinister power, Kunimatsu commands an army of yokai in a brutal campaign that plunges the nation into turmoil. To withstand this onslaught, Takechiyo draws upon the strength of his guardian spirit, Kusanagi. He must embark on a journey through time to fulfill his destiny as Shogun.
Alongside the standard edition, players can choose from several special versions of the game. The Digital Deluxe Edition offers the base game, pre-order armor sets, exclusive weapons, and two upcoming DLC expansions bundled with a season pass. A SteelBook edition will also be available, featuring the base game and two bonus DLCs. Every version includes an Early Purchase Bonus available for a limited time on the PlayStation Store and Steam.
Collectors can pre-order the PlayStation 5 exclusive physical release, the Nioh 3 Treasure Box, through the NIS America Store. This edition contains the game, a Scampuss Furball Netsuke Charm Keychain, an official artbook, a selection soundtrack CD, and a desk pad. With its mix of myth, history, and challenging action, Nioh 3 aims to deliver a new chapter worthy of the acclaimed series.
