Get the Highest Score in Holy Hoop
The indie developer Zimta has revealed that Holy Hoop will launch exclusively on Steam on September 16, 2025. This free-to-play basketball game invites players to unwind and sink shots on a dazzling celestial court. The goal is simple but addictive: aim carefully, control your power, and chase high scores using a dynamic point multiplier system.

Each game begins with ten basketballs. Every missed shot costs a ball, while successful shots earn points based on your distance from the hoop. The challenge increases as the hoop’s movement changes with difficulty settings: on Easy, it glides back and forth; on Normal, it also shifts up and down; and on Hard, it moves unpredictably in all directions. Scoring consecutive baskets builds a multiplier that boosts points, but a single miss resets it to zero. When all basketballs are gone, your final score is submitted to the global leaderboards.
Scoring consecutive shots boosts your multiplier, letting you rack up points even faster. A single miss resets the multiplier, adding tension to every attempt. When your basketballs run out, your score is recorded on the leaderboards for all to see.
To keep players engaged, new basketball skins drop every three hours. Thanks to Steam’s Inventory Service, these skins can be bought, sold, or traded with other players. Zimta originally considered making Holy Hoop a paid title, but shifted to free-to-play after perfecting this system of timed item drops. The integration with Steam’s trading features makes collecting and customizing basketballs part of the fun.
By blending arcade-style basketball action with community-driven trading, Holy Hoop aims to deliver both relaxing and competitive gameplay. Whether you are chasing leaderboard glory or simply enjoying a few quiet rounds, this heavenly court is set to open its gates soon.
