Dispatch Is Coming Out Next Month on PC and PS5 With Weekly Episodes

Meet the Superheros in Dispatch

AdHoc Studio has revealed that Dispatch, their long-awaited superhero workplace comedy, will launch on October 22 for PC and PlayStation 5, beginning an eight-episode season. At launch, players will have access to the first two episodes, with two additional episodes releasing every Wednesday until the season concludes. A single purchase grants access to the entire season, and new episodes unlock automatically as they premiere. This format allows the game to function like a playable TV series, encouraging community discussion and debate around choices and outcomes as each episode becomes available.

“We think the release format is an underrated part of the player experience,” said Nick Herman, co-founder of AdHoc Studio and Dispatch Creative Director. “Episodic is a format that makes the story easy to slip into, easy to keep up with, and easy to share with friends. We want the launch of Dispatch to be ‘appointment gaming’ but with the weekly cadence of a TV show, as opposed to asking people to wait months between each release.”

Dispatch centers on Robert Robertson, a former superhero who must manage a team of unruly ex-villains while pursuing revenge against his arch-nemesis. The game features a talented voice cast including Aaron Paul, Jeffrey Wright, and several members of Critical Role, highlighting a newly announced strategic collaboration with AdHoc Studio.

The game’s demo, showcased during June’s Steam Next Fest, quickly became one of the most played demos of the event, and Dispatch currently boasts over 700,000 wishlists on Steam. With its unique blend of narrative adventure, humor, and episodic storytelling, Dispatch promises to deliver a fresh and engaging superhero experience. The series will be available on PC via Steam and PlayStation 5 starting October 22.
