Welcome to Varlet
FURYU Corporation has announced the release of Varlet, a brand-new high school RPG now available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam. Players can purchase the Standard Edition for $59.99 or the Digital Deluxe Edition for $79.99, which includes an 80-page digital artbook, a 53-track digital album, and bonus school uniform DLC inspired by Monark and The Caligula Effect 2. Early buyers will also receive exclusive cosmetic DLC through September 27, with platform-specific outfits available on the PlayStation Store and Nintendo eShop.
At the heart of Varlet is the Triad Stats system, which develops the protagonist’s personality and combat skills based on player decisions. The Light Triad emphasizes morality and empathy, offering strong support buffs for allies, while the Dark Triad highlights manipulation and ruthlessness, unlocking destructive skills. Every choice made during school life shapes the protagonist’s growth and opens up new possibilities in battles and story events.

The game is set in Kousei Academy, the first school to adopt Johari, a powerful cross-reality network that blends information access, shopping, messaging, and social networking. While popular among students, Johari fuels their desire for approval, giving rise to chilling rumors. According to legend, users who crave attention too deeply vanish into Glitches, where monsters dwell, and these creatures can take their place in the real world.
Players take on the role of a Student Support Services member, tasked with solving academy troubles, building friendships, and confronting the dangers of Johari. Choices matter both in combat and relationships, as getting too close to multiple allies may lead to unexpected outcomes.
FURYU also invites fans to try the official Triad Diagnosis personality test online ahead of diving into Varlet.
