Welcome to the Halls of Torment
Erabit Studios, the Singapore-based indie publisher and developer, has announced that the mobile remake of Halls of Torment will release on September 1st, 2025. The game, already a favorite among PC players, is making its way to mobile with new features and streamlined gameplay.
Originally launched on Steam, Halls of Torment earned critical acclaim for its retro late 90s RPG aesthetic and addictive horde survival action. Players step into the role of heroic adventurers who descend into the perilous Halls, confronting waves of monstrous enemies and battling the tormented Lords that rule them. The game has already built a strong reputation, boasting more than 19,800 overwhelmingly positive reviews and now over 200,000 mobile pre-registrations.
The mobile remake promises to deliver fast-paced yet strategic gameplay sessions suited for on-the-go play. Battles have been refined to last 6 to 15 minutes, while still offering the depth and variety that made the original popular. Players can explore hundreds of traits, skills, and equipment, experiment with different builds, and pursue long-term progression through gems, upgrades, and quests.
The developer reworked several key systems for the remake as well. The Shrine of Torment introduces more demanding challenges, while the revamped Vault map offers improved loot and access to legendary gems. Global leaderboards will also allow players to compete with others worldwide, adding a competitive edge to the roguelike experience.
With a mobile-optimized interface and promises of more content updates after launch, the remake aims to bring both newcomers and veteran fans a polished, rewarding adventure. Erabit Studios’ latest project highlights their commitment to crafting engaging, accessible indie titles, and Halls of Torment looks set to become a standout addition to the mobile ARPG scene.
