Pilot Your Mecha in Gigantes Ex Machina
Independent developer AcrylByte has launched Gigantes Ex Machina, a high-intensity roguelite mecha action game in Early Access on Steam. Blending anime-inspired storytelling with visceral combat and strategic progression, the game puts players in command of war machines called Gigas as they battle through a collapsing world. You can purchase it right now for just $13.49 at a 10% discount until 19 August. Additionally, a free demo is also available for everyone to try out before diving into it.
Set in a war-torn future dominated by conflict between nations and powerful corporations, the awakening of the ancient weapon Gaia sets the stage for chaos. Players take on the role of an Anima, a chosen pilot capable of wielding advanced Gigas units. Thrust into a fractured world on the brink of annihilation, survival means mastering combat, adapting strategy, and uncovering the truth behind the devastation.
Played from a top-down perspective, Gigantes Ex Machina combines fast-paced action with roguelite difficulty, offering a challenging solo experience. Players can choose from a growing roster of Gigas classes, including Balanced, High Speed, and Tank units. Each one of them features distinct weapon systems and tactical benefits.
The game’s anime-style visuals and cinematic flair amplify every battle. It showcases explosive effects and dramatic missile choreography reminiscent of classic mecha series like Mobile Suit Gundam and BattleMech. Full voice acting and stylized cutscenes further immerse players in its dystopian narrative.
Launching with multiple chapters, several playable Gigas, and full controller support, Gigantes Ex Machina is also localized in English, Korean, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Brazilian Portuguese, and Turkish. AcrylByte plans to expand the game with regular updates, adding more content and languages over time.
