A Slight Delay for Demonschool
Ysbryd Games has announced that Demonschool, the school life tactics RPG inspired by Persona, Shin Megami Tensei, and classic Italian horror cinema, will now launch on November 19, 2025. The game was originally slated for September 3.
Ysbryd explained in a statement that they did not make the decision lightly. The publisher pointed to the crowded September release calendar and highlighted the surprise confirmation that Hollow Knight: Silksong will release just one day after Demonschool’s former date. “Our main goal is to gain visibility for Demonschool,” said Brian Kwek of Ysbryd Games. He also noted that one of the year’s most anticipated titles would overshadow the RPG’s debut.
Ysbryd, known for titles like WORLD OF HORROR and VA-11 HALL-A, stressed that this will be the final delay. The team has already distributed Steam keys to reviewers and had fully intended to launch in September. However, the extra time will allow developer Necrosoft Games to deliver a more complete experience. The developers will now include at launch features they had initially planned as post-release updates. This includes additional endings and new minigames.
“Between now and November, we’ll continue polishing the game so players get the best version possible,” the publisher said. They added that while the wait may be disappointing for fans, the move ensures Demonschool has its own spotlight in a competitive year for indie releases.
Demonschool follows Faye and her team of quirky demon hunters as they navigate both student life and battles against otherworldly threats. The game will launch on PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox Series X and S for $24.99 on November 19, 2025.
