The Fight Continues In Street Fighter 6
Capcom has officially announced that Sagat, the iconic Emperor of Muay Thai, will join the Street Fighter 6 roster on August 5, 2025. He will be available across Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. A new gameplay trailer showcasing Sagat is now available as well. You can check it out right below.
First introduced as the final boss in the original Street Fighter, Sagat returns with his signature blend of Muay Thai strikes: devastating uppercuts, crushing knees, and fireballs. His arrival also introduces a new stage called Proud Spire, a tranquil temple backdrop featuring a peaceful Buddha statue, offering a striking contrast to the intense combat.
Sagat comes equipped with two distinct outfits. Outfit 1 reimagines his appearance with a darker, modern Muay Thai aesthetic. Outfit 2 pays tribute to his classic Street Fighter II look, complete with traditional shorts and hand and foot wraps. Players can unlock Outfit 2 by maximizing their bond with Sagat in World Tour mode. Or they can purchase it using Fighter Coins.
Sagat’s debut kicks off the rollout of Street Fighter 6 Year 3 content. Both the Year 3 Ultimate Pass and the Year 3 Character Pass are now available for purchase on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, and for pre-order on Nintendo Switch 2. These passes will unlock Sagat and the remaining Year 3 fighters: C. Viper, Alex, and Ingrid, along with bonus outfit colors and Drive Tickets, starting August 5. Fans can also find updated details and assets on the official website of the game and the Capcom Press Center.
