Frosthaven Enters The Digital Realm
Arc Games has officially announced that Frosthaven, a dark fantasy tactical RPG based on the award-winning board game, will enter Early Access for PC on July 31, 2025. Developed by Snapshot Games in collaboration with Asmodee and Cephalofair Games, the title will be available on Steam and the Epic Games Store for £33.50 / €38.99.
Led by XCOM creator Julian Gollop and board game designer Isaac Childres serving as a consultant, Frosthaven aims to bring a deep and faithful adaptation of the original tabletop experience to screens. At launch, players will be able to explore around one-third of the full game, with content and improvements to roll out in three-month intervals during Early Access.
To enhance the experience, Arc Games has partnered with Twin Sails to offer a bundle that includes both Frosthaven and Gloomhaven Digital, available on the same day as the launch.
Early Access content will feature both single-player and online co-op modes, GeForce NOW support, eight playable characters (six starting, two unlockable), over 40 tactical quests, 100 choice-based events, and an evolving Outpost system. Players can construct buildings and complete objectives to unlock new gameplay elements.
To celebrate the launch, Frosthaven will be showcased at Gen Con 2025 from July 31 to August 3. Attendees can try an exclusive demo at booths 1643 (Cephalofair Games) and 3015 (Forteller Games), grab special merchandise, and meet the developers behind the digital adaptation.
