Get Ready to Clean in Scrubbin’ Trubble
Odd Object, a new indie game studio formed by experienced developers behind titles like UFO 50, Catacomb Kids, and Cadence of Hyrule, announced its debut project: Scrubbin’ Trubble. This fresh roguelike clean-‘em-up will launch on Steam later this year.
The game offers players a unique mix of turn-based combat and fast-paced action. It draws its inspiration from the style of ARPGs and hack-and-slash brawlers. Players can battle grime-covered enemies solo or team up with friends in co-op mode, supporting up to four players.

Scrubbin’ Trubble challenges players to dive into a messy world where cleaning and fighting never stop. Players choose from various RPG-style classes, each bringing a special approach to clearing the muck. Options include Bubbaladin, a close-range attacker who absorbs grime; Bleacher, a sniper who cleans stains from afar; and Washbuckler, who uses splashes to damage and push enemies back. Along the way, players find helpful equipment and one-time-use items that can shift the battle in their favor.
The game’s setting, known as The House, holds randomized floors filled with filth-fueled monsters waiting for players to scrub them away. As players progress downward, they earn high scores and upgrade their characters based on performance. Players aim to survive the run and face off against the Four Filths of the Apocalypse. However, if the entire party falls, the game ends, and players must start their cleaning quest from scratch.
