Resident Evil Requiem Revealed at the Summer Game Fest 2025

Resident Evil Requiem Is Coming Out Next Year

Capcom has officially revealed Resident Evil Requiem during Summer Game Fest 2025, marking the ninth mainline entry in the legendary survival horror series. Launching on February 27, 2026, it will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. You can check out the official reveal trailer below.

Built using the RE ENGINE and fully optimized for current generation hardware, Resident Evil Requiem promises an experience steeped in atmospheric tension and visual fidelity. From detailed facial animations to hyper-realistic skin textures and high definition sweat, the game pushes realism to new levels, enhancing both the psychological horror and the intensity of every encounter.

The game takes players back to the infamous Raccoon City, the heart of the original outbreak. Mixing the series’ signature action with unsettling psychological horror, Requiem looks to both honor and evolve the legacy of Resident Evil. In terms of accessibility, the game supports voiceovers and subtitles in a wide range of languages. This includes English, Japanese, French, Brazilian Portuguese, and more, with subtitles also available in Arabic, Korean, and Chinese.

More updates are on the way, with the first public playable demo scheduled for Gamescom 2025. This game is not just a continuation—it is the beginning of a new chapter for the franchise. The next era of survival horror is nearly here.
