Get Your Hands on the Post Apocalyptic Cleaning Kit
Indie studio Nitrous Butterfly has officially released the demo for P.A.C.K. :: Post Apocalyptic Cleaning Kit, now available on Steam. Created entirely by a solo developer, this unique first-person simulation game puts players in control of a cleanup robot designed to respond to natural disasters. The twist is that the world has already ended, but the robot’s mission continues.
In P.A.C.K., players become a determined machine working to restore abandoned structures in a world left behind. As they wash walls, vacuum debris, and recycle what they find, they begin to uncover fragments of a story about humanity’s disappearance. The game blends hands-on cleaning mechanics with subtle storytelling, encouraging players to explore and restore without rushing through objectives.
The newly released single-player demo includes two distinct environments to clean and repair. Players can use a spray washer to remove dirt, a vacuum to collect scattered litter, and a compactor to create trash cubes for efficient disposal. They can then use the recycled materials to fix broken objects and restore function to forgotten places.
While the demo only offers solo play, the full version will support up to four players in cooperative mode. This will allow teams to tackle the mess together. With its quiet tone, reflective setting, and purpose-driven gameplay, P.A.C.K. offers a different take on the post-apocalyptic genre.
The demo is available now on Steam for players interested in exploring a world where, even after everything has fallen apart, there is still work worth doing.
