The Next Era of Rainbow Six Siege
A new chapter is coming, Operators, prepare yourselves for launch. This era of tactical combat is bringing massive changes to a beloved game. That’s right, Ubisoft has announced that their hit shooter, Rainbow Six Siege is receiving a massive overhaul in June. Releasing June 10th the overhaul, titled Rainbow Six Siege X, will be bringing a host of new content to the beloved shooter, including a new game mode, a new map, visual updates, and more.
Perhaps the most exciting aspect of Rainbow Six Siege X is the new Dual Front game mode. Dual Front is releasing alongside a new map known as District and is bringing a new aspect to the tactical shooter. in this game mode, players will work in a 6v6 format fighting over contested territories. Players will fight to secure 3 enemy sectors, while defending their own. Of course, this means they must make gambits for territories which may leave their own exposed. Interestingly, players will be able to choose between attacker and defender operators at the same time and use gadgets in never-before-seen ways.
Obviously, the new game mode is exciting. However, Rainbow Six Siege X is bringing more than Dual Front to the party. In fact, players can expect visual overhauls of classic Siege maps, with new lighting, shadows and up to 4K textures. Furthermore, players can look forward to new features that deepen the tactical core of the game, including better rappel navigation, more destroyable environments, and more.
