Stalker 2 Just Got a Massive Patch With Over 1700 Changes and Bug Fixes

A Big Overhaul for Stalker 2

GSC Game World has finally released the highly anticipated patch 1.2 for Stalker 2. It expands on the previous 1.1 update with even more improvements. According to its Steam announcement, this update brings over 1,700 fixes and upgrades, including bug fixes, improved NPC behavior, and enhanced visuals.

This update introduces a wide range of improvements, starting with adjustments to NPC shooting accuracy. Shots now have more natural variation, and bullets no longer penetrate walls as easily. Stealth mechanics have been redesigned, making sneaky approaches more effective. Some enemies, including the Controller, now have new abilities that change how they interact in combat.

NPCs behave more intelligently, creating a more dynamic experience. Performance has been improved in certain areas, and a long list of fixes addresses issues affecting both main and side quests. The map and level design has also received over 450 updates, resolving problem areas where players could get stuck, such as X-17 Lab.

Stalker 2 was generally praised for its atmosphere and unique presentation when it was first released last year. However, many players and critics noted its many bugs.
