PlatinumGames Has Removed Some Titles From Its Official Website

A Wipe From PlatinumGames

The Japanese video game developer and publisher PlatinumGames Inc. has removed several titles from the “all works” section of its official website. This even includes an in-development project. Thanks to Nintendolife).

There is no explanation for this sudden change as far as we know. If you visit the official website, you won’t find the following games: Star Fox Zero, Transformers: Devastation, MadWorld, Sol Cresta, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan. You can check the Internet Archive to see how the page looked before the change.

Furthermore, the removal of Project G.G. from the page has sparked speculation that the game may have been canceled. Without an official announcement, its fate remains uncertain, but the sudden disappearance doesn’t inspire confidence. Many had high hopes for this title, and its absence raises concerns about whether development has quietly come to an end.

If you were eagerly awaiting its release, it might be time to consider the possibility that it won’t be making its way to players after all. Former producer Jean-Pierre Kellams criticized PlatinumGames on social media, saying the company is “erasing its history” and that he feels “deeply insulted” by their decision.

Just so you know, the remaining games are:

– Ninja Gaiden 4 (in development)
– Bayonetta, Bayonetta 2 and Bayonetta 3
– Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon
– NieR: Automata
– Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance
– Vanquish
– Astral Chain
– The Wonderful 101

The company has been in the spotlight lately after key developers left, including Bayonetta Origins director Abebe Tinari and Astral Chain director Takahisa Taura (though his departure hasn’t been officially confirmed). With Hideki Kamiya leaving in 2023, many have speculated about the studio’s future. However, PlatinumGames recently confirmed it’s working on Ninja Gaiden 4 alongside Team Ninja and Xbox Game Studios.
