Created by Japanese indie developer Yondray, it debuted on Steam in February 2022. The World According to Girl is an adventure game that combines deck-building and roguelike mechanics with a nurturing twist. As the Administrator, your role is to guide and raise a girl destined to save a collapsing world. Set over 100 years in the future, the story unfolds in a time of crisis, where your choices shape the future.
Humanity’s final chance for survival depends on one spaceship and the efforts of the world’s brightest minds. Together, they have devoted all their knowledge and resources to raising a single girl, preparing her to become the ultimate savior. For seven years, you will have six seasons, or turns, to work through each year, making a total of 42 turns. During this time, you will guide her growth while selecting human resource cards. These cards offer a variety of effects that can help you shape her future and strengthen her abilities.
As this phase concludes, you’ll enter a dialogue battle with the Inquisitor, a key figure who evaluates the girl’s abilities. This is your chance to draw on the skills and memories you’ve carefully nurtured throughout the journey. Success in this confrontation not only proves her strength but also influences how the story unfolds, leading to different possible endings based on her growth.
