A War That Didn’t EndÂ
Welcome to the frontlines patriot. It’s wartime only, in this history, World War II never ended, it simply evolved. Now, it’s up to you to take the reigns of a forward base changing this base from a relic of a bygone era into a full-fledged army fort ready to fight the USSR. Today, Chronospace is happy to reveal their base-management, first-person, sim game, War Mechanic. Inviting players to a unique blend of base managing, exploration, strategy, and more, the game allows players to explore a World War 2 world where the fight simply evolved. A press release provides more details on the game. Additionally, the release provides a teaser trailer for the game.Â
War Mechanic allows players take on the role of a base manager of an American military base. Following the defeat of the Axis, and some Russian sabotage, America and the other Allies declare war on the USSR. Now, under President Patton, capitalism is fully rampant and super important to the military. More so than usual. Privatizing the war means you, as a base manager, can fund your own military base to fight. Of course, this means, gathering resources, upgrading the base, exploring with your own customizable vehicle, and fulfilling military contracts are all important to progressing.Â
Interestingly, as a first-person sim, War Mechanic provides players with an intriguing art style that adds to the combat and exploration scenarios. Additionally, the dialogue and campaign story mixing humor and characters to tell its alternate reality tale seek to add more to the game. Of course, a new trailer gives players a glimpse of the game. Check it out below.
War Mechanic is releasing in to PC via Steam in 2025.
