Assassin’s Creed Shadows Won’t Be Coming Out in Early Access

New Adventures Awaits in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Assassin’s Creed Shadows was supposed to come out in less than a month, but it’s been delayed to early 2025. Now the news just came in that the players who buy the collector’s edition won’t get early access anymore.

Ubisoft has confirmed the cancelation of Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ early access release during a Discord Q&A session. This news came directly from a report by Insider Gaming. The company also mentioned that it won’t be introducing season passes. As a result, the price of the collector’s edition will drop from $280 to $230. It will still include a steel book, artbook, statue, and more, though some items might change before the final release.

The report suggests that these last-minute changes might be due to Ubisoft’s struggles with historical accuracy and cultural representation. A previous report mentioned this as one reason for the game’s delay, along with a request from Ubisoft Quebec, the developer of Shadows, for more time to refine the game before launch.

Additionally, there are rumors that Ubisoft Quebec might add a co-op mode. This will allow two players to team up as the protagonists, Naoe and Yasuke. However, with the game’s delay, this feature might not be available at launch.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be coming out on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on February 14, 2025. If you are a fan of this franchise, then make sure to keep an eye out for more news and updates.
