Astroneer Has Announced Its First-Ever Paid DLC Called Glitchwalkers

Astroneer Is Expanding Further

System Era Softworks, the newest member of the Devolver Digital family just revealed the first DLC for Astroneer called Glitchwalkers. This paid expansion will arrive later this year on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. In the meantime, check out the official announcement trailer below.

Glitchwalkers builds on Astroneer’s survival sandbox fun and pushes it even further. Explore the biggest planet yet, packed with fresh biomes, cutting-edge tech, exciting new gameplay features, and the game’s first real villain. If you’re up for a new challenge, meet Lyn, a frustrated member of the ESS Elysium crew who’s been messing with the Astroneer Training Program’s (ATP) code. Team up with Frank, the Elysium’s Head of Maintenance, to stop Lyn before she tears the ATP apart from the inside.

Glitchwalkers takes players to Aeoluz, a massive new planet in a messed-up solar system. Here, you’ll hack through Lyn’s defenses and break firewalls to restore the ATP to normal. This new planet also introduces exciting new surface and cave biomes for players to discover, along with a fresh tech tree and modules that unlock a mix of new and classic technology.

The new DLC is set to take Astroneer’s universe to new heights, adding even more to the crafting, building, and exploration fans already enjoy. For those not quite ready for the adventure, there will be a free update to the base game. It will bring fresh gameplay, handy improvements, and bug fixes.
