Skunkape Games has officially released the remastered version of Sam & Max: The Devil’s Playhouse on PC and consoles. It is now available on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. The standard price of the game is $19.99 and is currently on sale with a 10% launch discount.
In 2010, Telltale wrapped up their Sam & Max trilogy with The Devil’s Playhouse, a five-part episodic adventure that cemented their place as leaders in episodic gaming. Now, Skunkape Games, a team of original developers, has lovingly remastered the game after acquiring the rights following Telltale’s closure in 2018.
The story follows Max, the wild card of the Freelance Police, a fun-loving troublemaker with a talent for creating chaos. But things have taken a strange twist lately—his abilities have turned supernatural.
It all started when he found a mysterious toy that let him see glimpses of the future. Now, Sam & Max are on the radar of villains from across the galaxy, all eager to get their hands on these magical Toys of Power for their own dark purposes.
As the hunt for the Devil’s Toybox heats up, Max’s psychic powers spiral out of control. The Freelance Police will face their most terrifying challenge yet: the unstoppable power of Max’s mind.
