Null Games, the indie publisher of modern retro games has revealed the full game release date for Athena Crisis. This turn-based strategy title will launch on Monday, 23rd September 2024. The cool thing is when you purchase it, you can enjoy the game on other platforms as well. This includes Windows, Mac, Steam Deck, iOS, and Android with automatic syncing.
Additionally, the team also revealed that the game got Steam Deck verification as well. This will give a chance for players to experience the battles on handheld devices.
Athena Crisis is a modern retro turn-based strategy game developed by Nakazawa Tech. You will take control of dozens of unique units, battling across multiple environments and biomes. It has an exciting single-player campaign and online multiplayer modes for up to 7 players, both ranked and casual. Uniquely, actions in one player’s game can affect other players’ games, making for a dynamic, interconnected experience.
The game also includes a powerful map editor and campaign editor, allowing endless battles and enemies. There are already many user-created maps, puzzles, challenges, and campaigns, with more expected by launch.
Since its early access launch in March, many improvements have been made, including a new offline mode. However, the biggest update is coming soon with the 1.0 release, which will add many new features and enhancements to the game.
